The affordable way to secure areas of risk
The UWB+ system can be used to cost-effectively secure high-risk areas such as pedestrian crossings, blind junctions, and hall entrances/exits. Appropriately equipped vehicles can have their speed reduced at an adjustable distance before the high-risk area. Only upon leaving the defined area can the vehicle accelerate back to the maximum possible speed. Thus, danger spots are passed at reduced speeds, giving infrastructure such as high-speed doors “enough time” to open fully. Furthermore, this allows for an “indoor/outdoor” function to be realised, where vehicles can travel at maximum speed outside of secured halls, while speed is automatically reduced within secured halls. Unlike “ceiling detectors”, the radio systems work reliably in the defined areas.
